Ifanything, republicans would like to be left alone, to worship and exercise their beliefsas is their right under the laws. Hillary has done none of the things you mention buthas certainly spoken about them. Мырассмотрели ряд статей из Washington Post конца июня – начала июля 2015 г.(WP20, WP21, WP22, WP23), которые достаточно наглядно демонстрируютэволюцию медийного имиджа политиков, участвующих в праймериз. С точкизрения подачи в статьях, которые становятся отправной точкой для развитиядискуссии в комментариях, любопытна эволюция заголовков: от «Who the hell isBernie Sanders?<…>» до «In Bernie Sanders, an unlikely – but real – threat to HillaryClinton» всего за 10 дней и еще через 5 дней к «Bernie Sanders seen as a ‗protestcandidate‘ <…>» и слов журналиста в статье WP23 «her [Clinton] chief primaryopponent». За короткий срок происходит комплексное развитие коммуникативныхстратегий воздействия – как используемых журналистами Washington Post, так и343читателями, причем как мы попытаемся показать, это развитие происходит изтесного взаимодействия одних с другими.Предвыборная кампания Сандерса, как мы отмечали выше, строится взначительной степени на попытке представить его как воплощение идеаловстереотипных представлений о политике и демократе.
Одновременно с этимзадаетсязащитнаястратегиядемонстрацииатакующейстратегиистереотипизации со стороны оппонентов. В частности, в статье WP20 частьтекста, представляющая собой цитаты из высказываний сторонников Сандерса,содержит множество отсылок к проблеме навешивания ярлыков:Пр. 100 WP20:<…> if you do away with labels – that ‗socialist‘ label.<…> he was saying about labels.<…> they began talking about how political stereotypes get in the way of deeperdiscussions <…>При этом кандидат позиционирует себя как Independent, но running asa Democrat и как Democratic socialist (Пр.101 WP21: Sanders – a selfdescribed democratic socialist – has seen his crowds swell and is gainingground in the polls on the formidable Democratic front-runner, Hillary RodhamClinton.).

Политические конкуренты-демократы,таким образом, косвенно представляются как соответствующие антиидеалу ролевых представлений о демократах, но поскольку сам кандидатпозиционируется как человек, принципиально не говорящий плохо одругих участниках предвыборной гонки, развитие этой идеи оставляетсядругим участникам общественно-политического дискурса и активноразвивается сторонниками Сандерса в комментариях.
