Press the JUMP touch switch at the bottom of the desired table. The following popup input window will be displayed to input the word address. Specify the address by pressing the Increment and Decrement Keys (+ and–) on the word address’s thumbwheel switch. (This step isn’t necessary ifyou are clearing the table.)The digit will be incremented or decremented by 1 each time that you pressthe Increment or Decrement Key.The table containing the specified word will be displayed. Each table contains either 25 words (NT31/NT31C) or 50 words (NT631/NT631C).4. Press the Write touch switch. The PT will begin monitoring the range ofwords that contains the specified word and the popup input window will beclosed. (The table will be cleared if clear was selected for the data area.)If the specified word address is not valid, an error message will be displayedin the lower-left corner of the screen and the buzzer will sound. (This buzzersound can be disabled with the PT’s touch switch sound setting.) In thiscase, check the valid range of the data area in the connected PC and enterthe word address again.
The error message will be cleared when a validword address is entered.If the Back touch switch is pressed before the Write touch switch, the inputwill be cancelled and the PT will return to monitoring the original word addresses.274Section 2-17Device Monitor Function2-17-7 Using the Error Log ScreenThe error log screen reads the error log in the PC (the errors that have occurredin the PC) and lists the errors in order of their priority. It is also possible to clearthe highest priority error.NT31/NT31C ScreenError Log display areaWith the NT31/NT31C, 5 error records can be displayed in one screen.
The highest priority error must be cleared in order to display the sixth error record.NT631/NT631C ScreenError Log display areaWith the NT631/NT631C, 30 error records (15 records × 2 columns) can be displayed in one screen. The highest priority error must be cleared in order to display the thirty-first error record.Error Log Display AreaThe error log display area displays errors in order of their priority. (With theNT631/NT631C, the highest priority error is displayed at the top of the left column and the lowest priority error is displayed at the bottom of the right column.)The screen will be updated if another error occurs while the error log is beingdisplayed.Clear Error Touch SwitchClear the highest priority error (displayed at the top or top-left) by pressing theclear error touch switch.
The error will be removed from the display area once itis cleared, but the same error may occur again immediately if the cause of theerror hasn’t been eliminated. If the error cannot be cleared, a message indicating that it can’t be cleared will be displayed in the bottom-left corner of thescreen.275Section 2-17Device Monitor FunctionErrors Appearing in theError LogThe following table lists the PC errors that may be displayed in the error logscreen.
