It is also possible to force-set, force-reset, andclear the forced status of bits and timer/counter Completion Flags.Reference:S When the PC is in RUN mode, it is not possible to change word PVs or forceset, force-reset, or clear the forced status of bits (including timer/counter Completion Flags.)S A word or bit address that has been specified will remain valid until the PT isturned OFF or reset.
The settings will remain valid even if the Device Monitorfunction is closed, so the last valid settings will be displayed the next time thatthe Device Monitor function is started.264Section 2-17Device Monitor FunctionNT31/NT31C ScreenData areaAddress Hexadecimal PV Binary PVASCII charactersWith the NT31/NT31C, the PVs of up to 3 words can be displayed simultaneously.NT631/NT631C ScreenData areaBinary PVHexadecimal PVAddressASCII charactersWith the NT631/NT631C, the PVs of up to 8 words can be displayed simultaneously.Data Area and AddressThese columns display the word address (data area acronym and address) ofthe words being monitored.
The table cells containing the word address act astouch switches; press either cell to change or clear the word being displayed inthat row.Hexadecimal PVThis column displays the PVs of the specified words in hexadecimal. The tablecells in this column also act as touch switches; press the desired cell to changethat word’s PV in hexadecimal. With timers and counters, the cells can be usedto set/reset the timer or counter. When a timer or counter is being displayed, a j will appear next to the hexadecimal PV when the timer/counter times out or counts out.Binary PVThis column displays the PVs of the specified words in binary with bit 15 on theleft and bit 00 on the right.
Force-set and force-reset status are also indicated. When the word’s PV is changed in hexadecimal, that change is also reflected inthis column. The table cells in this column also act as touch switches; press the desired cell tochange that word’s PV in binary or force-set, force-reset, or clear the forced status of bits in the word.ASCII CharactersThis column displays each PV as 2 extended ASCII characters. Spaces will bedisplayed if there aren’t ASCII characters equivalent to the PV.265Section 2-17Device Monitor FunctionSpecifying/Changing the Word and Clearing the DisplayWords Displayable in the Registration Monitor ScreenThe following table shows which words can be monitored in the registrationmonitor screen.DataareaNameCS/CJC200HX/HG/HE (-Z)C200HS, CPM1,CPM2A, CPM2C,CQM1, or SRM1CQM1HDMData Memory AreaOKOKOKOKIR/CIOInternal Relay orCore I/O AreaOKOKOKOKTIMTimer AreaOKOKOKOKCNTCounter AreaOKOKOKOKHRHR (Holding Relay) AreaOKOKOKOKARAR (Auxiliary Relay) AreaOKOKOKOKLRLR (Link Relay) Area---OKOKOKWRWork AreaOK---------EMEM Area (current bank)Installed EMbanksInstalled EM banks---Installed EMbanksEM0 toEMFEM Area (bank 0 to bank F)Installed EMbanksInstalled EM banks---Installed EMbanksOK: Can be displayed No: Not applicable Not with Host Link: Installed EM banks can be displayedThe CS/CJ-series PC’s Task Flags (TK) and clock pulses (P) cannot be displayed.ProceduresUse the following procedure to specify the word to monitor, change the word’sPV, or clear a word from the display.1, 2, 3...1.

(This buzzersound can be disabled with the PT’s touch switch sound setting.) In thiscase, check the valid range of the data area in the connected PC and enterthe word address again. The error message will be cleared when a validword address is entered. If the Back touch switch is pressed before the Write touch switch, the inputwill be cancelled and the PT will return to monitoring the original word address in that row.Changing HexadecimalPVs and ForcingTimer/Counter StatusUse the following procedure to change a monitored word’s PV in hexadecimal. This procedure can also be used to force-set, force-reset, or clear the forced status of timer/counter Completion Flags.Reference: If the timer or counter Completion Flag is force-set, it will be in time-out or countup status regardless of the PV. Likewise if the timer or counter Completion Flag isforce-reset, it will be OFF even if the PV is 0.1, 2, 3...1.
