International tourism is one of the fastest growing types of tourism. It impacts on the development of socio-economic and political relations between countries through the expansion of tourist flows, impacts on their economic development, promotes mutual cultural enrichment.
International tourist activity is a system of travels and exchanges which is carried out on the basis of international treaties with the existing international standards.
The main participants of tourist activity are tour operators and travel agents, i.e. enterprises which engage in activities of a tour operator or a travel agency.
International tourist right is a branch of law that regulates relations between countries in the field of international tourism.
A contract is the principal document in the sphere of tourism.
The most common evidence which classified the types of international tourist activity is: purpose of travel, type of offer, type of customer, the method of movement, the method of organization of the trip, age of travelers.
The tourist product is a set of services for the transportation and accommodation, provided for a total price (regardless of inclusion in the total price of excursions and (or) other services) under a contract of the sale of the tourist product.
Tourist product goes through five stages of the life cycle: development, start, development, maturity, recession.
A tourist product is different from a tourist package as a tour package is a necessary part of the tourist product (a tourist product is greater than a tour package).
The formation of the tourist product is the activity of a tour operator for the conclusion and execution of contracts with third parties that provide individual services included in the tour (hotels, transport, guides, and others).
The process of product development can be divided into two stages: design stage and the stage of formation of the product.
Tourist product created by a tour operator involves its compulsory methodological support in the agency. Methodical provision embodied in the special technological documentation, which fully describes a tour, its production processes and the services provided to tourists. This documentation is necessary for a clear, fast and flexible work of agency staff.
