Although NT31, NT31C, NT631, and NT631C supportimage data, it cannot be inserted into a (character) string. The procedure for inserting mark data, image data into a (character) string isshown below.(1) In the (character) string input field, move the cursor ( | ) to the mark/image datainsertion position.(2) Selectorin the dialog box.The mark selection dialog box or image selection dialog box is displayed. The set mark data, image data, or library data is displayed in the (character) string displayed onthe screen.160Fixed Display6-2-8Section 6-2TilingThe closed area of the graphic (inside the border) will be filled with some patternand color.Tiling cannot be used for NT11S, NT20S and NT600S.(1) The area inside the border is tiled according to the specified color and pattern.Operation procedure[Objects] → [Fixed Display] → [Tiling]Selection using the menu bar:Selection using the drawing toolbar:TerminologyForeground colorBackground colorBorder161Fixed DisplaySection 6-2Property setting[General]Position:Indicates the position of the tiling element.Pattern:Specify the tiling pattern.ColourForeground:Specify the foreground color of the tiling area.(Can only be set for PTs with color display.)White, black, blue, red, magenta, green, cyan, yellowBackground:Specify the background color of the tiling area.(Can only be set for PTs with color display.)Transparent, white, black, blue, red, magenta, green, cyan, yellowBorder:Specify the color of the border of tiling area.(Can only be set for PTs with color display.)White, black, blue, red, magenta, green, cyan, yellowGuidanceS A J mark (handle) is displayed when a tiling element is selected.Property setting and tiling element can be edited by selecting the J mark (handle).S Tiling is possible for the elements shown below.Rectangle, circle, polygon, sectorIn addition to the elements indicated above, tiling is possible for an area enclosed by a solid line of the same color (border color).
If an element such as alamp which changes status is specified for the border, however, tiling may not beexecuted correctly due to changes in color and display.S To check the tiling status, select [View] (menu bar) then select [Full Tiling]. Theresult of tiling will be displayed (in this state, a check mark is set for [Full Tiling] inthe display menu.).When [Full Tiling] is selected again, then return to the previous J mark (handle).Selection of[Full Tiling]Selection of[Full Tiling]S To execute tiling, specify the same color for the border of area and the border of atiling element.Tiling is executed in the enclosed area for which the same color as the color setfor the border is set. If an enclosed area with the same color does not exist, thetiling extends outside the enclosed area.S If the tiling area is not an enclosed area, the tiling spills out the specified area.S The patterns are displayed in the actual status of tiling according to the setting forthe foreground and background color. The available tiling patterns are shown below.162Fixed DisplaySection 6-2Reference: S If “Full Tiling” is performed, performance of Support Tool may be slower.
In thiscase, clear the check mark for [Full Tiling] from [View] menu.S [Full Tiling] is automatically cancelled when a filter function is performed for“Fixed Display”.S “Color Palette Symbol” for which tiling patterns and color combinations are registered is supplied with Support Tool as symbol data. Using color palette symbolenables you to register required tiling objects on screen while checking their display status. Color palette symbol does not have transparent background patterns.
Border colors are set to ‘White’. Change the setting as required when using it. For details, refer to 6-10-5 “Operating Procedure of Colour PaletteSymbol”.6-2-9Image Object (Data)Image data is displayed. There are two types of image data. One type of image data references the fixedcode directly, the other type uses indirect reference. Indirect reference is a functionwhich can change the image data to be displayed by writing the image code to thenumeral table just like the indirect reference of numeral/string display. This enables the animation display by switching the display contents using a simple program.
For details of the PT models which can use indirect reference, refer to Appendix D “Table of Functions of Each PT Model”.Image data cannot be used for NT11S, NT20S and NT600S.(1) Image data created in the bit map (BMP) format is displayed.NoteBit map data created by general application software running on Windows can bedisplayed.Operation procedureSelection using the menu bar:[Objects] → [Fixed Display] →[Image Display]Selection using the drawing toolbar:TerminologyForeground colorBackground color163Fixed DisplaySection 6-2Property setting[General]Position:Indicates the display position of image data.(The reference point is at the upper left corner in the imageelement.)Size:Indicates the size of image data.Reference TypeDirect:Set the image code directly.Code:Indicates the code number of the image data to be displayed.Mode:Indicates the color mode of the image data (2 colors, 8 colors).Comment:Indirect:Displays the comment which is set for the image data.Set this item when the value for the specified numeral table istreated as image code and referenced indirectly.Table No.:Specify the address of numeral table to be referenced. When using the indirect reference, set the storage type ofallocated numeral table to “Binary”.
Also, when specifying theimage code from a program etc., use hexadecimal value sincethe image table code is in hexadecimal.ColourForeground:Background::Set the display color of image data.(Setting is possible only when 2 colors is set for the color mode.)Set the color of background in the image data display area.(Setting is possible only when 2 colors is set for the color mode.)Displays the list for selecting the image data when “Direct” isspecified.
Displays the list for referencing the numeral tablewhen “Indirect” is specified.GuidanceS When the image data is firstly specified, the data of character code FE20H (forNT30, NT30C, NT620S, NT620C, NT625C), or the data that corresponds toimage/library code 0001H (for NT31, NT31C, NT631, NT631C) is arranged asdefault.S The mark shown below will be displayed if image data has not been created forthe specified code.S To change the image data to be displayed, click onin the property and selectthe desired image data or numeral table from the list.If you are using the NT31, NT31C, NT631 or NT631C with “–V1” and its systemprogram version is 2.1, “Indirect reference” can be set.The procedure for specifying the desired image data is shown below.164Fixed DisplaySection 6-2[Direct]Specify the code of the image data to be displayed directly.(1) Click onat the right side of “Code” after checking the [Direct] button in theproperty setting dialog box to display the image data selection dialog box.(2) If the code of the desired image data is not found in the list, scroll the list usingthe scroll bar at the right side of the screen, or click onto open thecode input dialog box.Input the code of the desired image data and click on.By pressing cursor keys (°, ±) on keyboard, the contents of the code can bechecked in the preview window one by one.(3) Select the code of the desired image data to be displayed. The selected line will be highlighted.(4) Click onto close the dialog box.[Indirect]Specify the numeral table to be referenced. With indirect reference, the contents for the specified numeral table are treated asan image code and the corresponding image data is displayed.
This is useful whenyou want to change the image data to be displayed according to the statuses. Setthe storage type of numeral table to be referenced by indirect reference to “Binary”and specify the value (image code) to be stored in hexadecimal since the imagecode is in hexadecimal.165Fixed DisplaySection 6-2Set the numeral table number to be referenced to “Table No.”.It is possible to display a numeral table so that you can select the desired tablenumber from it.To display a numeral table, follow the procedure below.(1) Click onat the right side of “Table No.” after checking the [Indirect] buttonin the property setting dialog box to display the numeral table selection dialogbox.(2) If the number of the desired numeral table is not found in the list, scroll the listtousing the scroll bar at the right side of the screen, or click onopen the entry input dialog box.Input the entry of the desired numeral table and click on(3) Select the desired numeral table to be referenced. The selected line will be highlighted.(4) Click onto close the dialog box.How to create the image data is described in 8-1 “Image Editor”.166.Fixed Display6-2-10Section 6-2MarkMark data is displayed.Mark data can be used for all models.
