Впервые проведенсопоставительный количественный анализ продуктивности суффиксальныхоформителей катойконимов в южноамериканском ареале. Рассмотреныособенности словообразования катойконимов, изучены их внутренниеморфологические изменения, а также представлена систематизациякатойконимов по формально-прагматическому признаку. Впервые выведеныметафорические компоненты южноамериканских топонимических перифраз ипредложена их классификация.Языковой материал диссертации и ее результаты могут бытьиспользованы как в научных, так и в преподавательских целях – при подготовкетеоретических и практических курсов по лексикологии и морфологиииспанского языка, семиотике, лингвокультурологии, а также при составлениисловарей.Marija Radović (Serbia)Toponymy of Spanish-speaking South America and Brazil: demonyms and themetaphorical aspectThe present paper investigates the toponymic system οf Spanish-speaking SouthAmerica and Brazil as an onomastic layer from linguistic and culturological points ofview.
The author singles out the main tendencies regarding word formation andetymology of toponyms, demonyms and toponymic periphrases in Spanish-speakingcountries in South America, as well as in Brazilian Portuguese. The comparativequantitative analysis of the suffix productivity in demonyms has been conducted forthe first time in the given region.
Moreover, the research deals with formation andmorphological changes in demonyms and presents their systematization according tothe formal and pragmatical criteria. The metaphorical components of the SouthAmerican toponymic periphrases have been described and classified for the first time.The linguistic material of the given body of research can be used for bothscientific and teaching purposes: as an element of theoretical and practical courses inSpanish lexicology and morphology, semiotics, cultural linguistics, as well as incomposing dictionaries.20.
