However, since the system program is specific toeach PT model, the system program that matches the PT model must bedownloaded.S If you need system programs of PT other than NT31, NT31C, NT631 andNT631C with “-V1” and NT11S, please purchase the system installer for DosVersion.
For detail of system programs supplied with system installer of DosVersion, refer to Appendix B “Applicatable PT Models”.System program for NT31, NT31C, NT631, NT631C with “–V1” (Ver. 2.1) is supplied with the Support Tool.33Installing the Support Tool2-2Section 2-2Installing the Support ToolTo install the Support Tool, execute the install program which has been ready inyour software package.Reference:The following data is selectable for installation.S NT-series Support Tool Ver. 3.2S System InstallerS Sample Collection (For CD-ROM Version only)If you select “Sample Collection”, data such as “Parts Collection”, “Image/LibrarySample Collection”, “ISO symbol data” and “Sample Screen Data” are installed.S NT Transfer Utility (CD–ROM version only) should be installed separately.Please refer to Appendix C “NT Transfer Utility”.S Data can be added afterward by executing the installation program again.
In thiscase, when the item which is already installed is specified, it will not be overwritten. Also, the data will not be uninstalled even if its check mark was set to OFFwhen the data is already installed.To delete the data which is already installed, delete all data by uninstalling it andthen perform installation again.2-2-1Basic Installation OperationButtons which are displayed during the course of installation are shown below.Clicking on this button confirms the settings in the displayed window and displaysthe next window.Clicking on this button cancels the settings in the displayed window and displaysthe previous window.Clicking on this button causes the window to close.
The status set in the window iscanceled.This button stops Support Tool installation if it is clicked at the program install window. In this case, a message is displayed requesting confirmation that installationis to be stopped.Clicking on this button displays the actual folder configuration in tree form. You canselect the folder in this display to install the Support Tool.34Before Installing the Software2-2-2Section 2-2Procedure1. Start up Windows 95/98.2. If your media is FD, set the first FD of the system disks in drive A (or other3.5-inch FD drive).If you are using CD-ROM, set the Support Tool CD-ROM in the CD-ROM drive.The setup program automatically starts.
Follow step 6 onward. If the setupprogram does not start automatically, execute the setup program according tothe steps shown below.Reference: You can execute the setup program by double clicking “Setup.exe” in the SupportTool system disk by displaying the “Explorer” of Windows 95/98. In this case, steps3, 4, and 5 below can be skipped.3. Click on the Start button of Windows 95/98 and select “Run ...”.4. Input “a:\setup” in the input field in the displayed window.Note that drive designation must agree with the name of the drive where youset the system disk (or CD-ROM). If you set the disk (CD-ROM) in drive B,input “b:\setup”.5. Click on.The installation is started.35Installing the Support ToolSection 2-26.
When the setup screen of the Support Tool is displayed, click on.The screen to prompt you to input User Information (Name and Company) isdisplayed.7. Input your name and company. In the initial state, the name and companywhich are registered for the computer are displayed.After inputting, click on.The screen for specifying the destination of program installation is displayed.36Installing the Support ToolSection 2-28. Select the directory for installation.In the initial state, the directory shown below is set as the destination directory.C:\Program Files\Omron\NTST3.2If you want to change the directory, click onand input the drive anddirectory.

After the completion of installation, the folder specified in step (10) is displayedalong with the installation completion message.Click onand the installation operation is completed.Then a dialog to select restart/non–restart will come out. Restarting your machine is recommended.39Installing the Support Tool2-2-3Section 2-2UninstallAn uninstaller (uninstall software) is supplied with the Support Tool.If you want to remove the Support Tool from your personal computer, run the uninstaller to delete the Support Tool program files and installation information.
