After the installation procedure, QUADERA® is basically readyfor operation and it can be used without a device.NOTE:Adhere to the QUADERA® Release Notes.Proceed as follows to set up QUADERA®:1. Start QUADERA®.2. Start the service tool (additional program, installed together with QUADERA®)in order to determine the IP address of the mass spectrometer:a. In the Device menu, click Communication Settings….
The"Communication Settings" dialog opens.b. Click Service Tool.(Alternatively, you can use the Windows start menu to open the service tool:START > All Programs QUADERA > Tools > Service Tool.)3. The service tool scans the network for running QMG mass spectrometers. ClickClear list and start new search if no mass spectrometer is found.4. In the "Communication Settings" dialog select Device and enter thedetermined IP address under IP Address.5. Click OK to acknowledge the input. The "Communication Settings" dialog isclosed.6. QUADERA® is now configured for the connection with the mass spectrometer.7. If necessary adjust the configuration:• Use the basic device settings in the device status view ("DeviceConfiguration View" icon) to adjust the configuration. Updatescontain new features and additional functions or they fix software bugs that havebeen discovered.UpgradeA software upgrade represents an extensive revision of the software and is marked asa new major version (e.g. from version 1 to 2).
