The use of articles depends on th e ^type of noun, context or situation, it is sometimes influenced by the syntactic relations in whichthe noun occurs.There are two types of articles in modern English: the indefinite (a /a n ) and the definitearticle (th e). The absence of articles also has its grammatical significance: it shows that thev nouns are used in a general sense..1.
