The thesis is devoted to research of the essence and legal nature of dismissal of the heads of the constituent subject of the Russian Federation with the loss of trust the President of the Russian Federation. The thesis contains comparative legal analysis of the responsibility of heads of the constituent subject in foreign federal countries, historical legal analysis of removal of officials due to loss of trust in the USSR and the Russian Federation. Existing problems of the mechanism removal of the heads of the constituent subject of the Russian Federation were identified. Comprehensive analysis allowed to substantiate recommendations for amendments to the current legislation of the Russian Federation by improving the legal basis for the loss of trust the President of the Russian Federation and procedural form removal of the heads of the constituent subject of the Russian Federation due to loss of trust the President of the Russian Federation as a measure of federal intervention and as a measure of constitutional responsibility.
