Exercise 1
Use Present Simple or Continuous, Past Simple or Continuous, or Present Perfect
Sometimes there are two possible answers

Charles and Barbara Williams (1. live) at a village called Harpole. They (2. only live)

there for a few weeks. They (3. arrive) on 28th August and they quickly
(4. arrange) the furniture in their new house. They (5. not make) many friends
yet, but they (6. think) that they soon will. The neighbours (7. be) very kind so far,

and Mr. Williams (8. invite) some of them to a party he (9. hold) next week.
His friends from London and Oxford (10. come) to the party.
The Williams family (11. live) in London before they (12. come) to Harpole.
Mr. Williams (13. not like) living in London.

Exercise 2
Change the order of direct and indirect objects

For each gap, add a word, or choose from those given
