Commercial survey of trains and cars is one of the most important elements of work of station on safety of train service and safety of the transported freights. Points of commercial survey are organized at stations of formation of trains, changes of trains locomotives, locomotive crews and transfer of cars after the journey on the road.

In this degree project was carried the analysis of work of point of commercial survey of station Khabarovsk II, which showed that the considerable percent of the found commercial malfunctions is made by cars with equipment. During the analysis the most often arising commercial malfunctions along the line were revealed. Having considered the reasons of their emergence, the correcting measures for their reduction were offered.

For improvement of quality of survey of cars along the line and prevention of the admission of cars without detection on the available commercial malfunctions at cars with equipment, in the degree project, on the example of the oversized crane, the technology of survey of trains in points of commercial survey containing these cars in the structure was developed. The economic justification of expenses for introduction of this technology is also given.
