It is determined that the LaoPeople's Democratic Republic is currently a dynamically developing country withan attempt to emerge from a depressive state among the leading countries on theAsian continent. On the basis of most modern statistical forecasting carried out ofenergy consumption and the development of the energy potential of Laos, inparticular, build the equation of the electric balance of the country. Also studied theLao government investment programs and their implementation problems. In thestudy, the key trends and dynamics of the Russian-Laotian investment cooperationdeveloped a joint project to build a hydroelectric power plant in Laos. Using dataon applied organizational forms and mechanisms of investment cooperation in thefield of hydropower, calculated the results expected from this project.
