AbsractThe aim of the diploma project is to improve the performance of the plant byreducing the downtime of the local train.To achieve this goal it is necessary to solve a number of problems: analyze thetechnical condition and performance of the plant; consider the existing technologyof processing trains of different categories; identify the volume of the station as awhole and non-public places in particular.In the course of the project it was found that when the shunting of servingcleaning to non-public places are a significant number of polureysov shuntingtrains due to lack of gridiron. Therefore, it was proposed to construct an alternatepath by laying it in a wide intertrack spaces – between 10 and 12 tracks.Following the suggestion of the second version was built day plan - schedule.As a result, performance on the options were as follows.

Total operating time of1,471 locomotives min. and 24,52 hours. Wagon-idle hours at the station were1522.98.
