Container transportations of cargoes worldwide over the past 40 years became one of the most popular types of freight. The main task of the JSC "Russian railways" in the near future is the development of international transport corridors passing through Russian territory.

In the structure of the JSC «RZD» with October 1, 2003 year has been allocated Centre on transportation of cargoes in containers-TransContainer. He became a functional branch of RZD with 17 offices in all the railways of Russia, an extensive network of agencies at major stations, (c) dispatch and information system.

The main tasks of the mechanized loading and unloading-distances is now further improvement of production and financial activity of MCH, improvement of quality of service shippers and consignees, increasing the productivity of labor, effective use of core funds.
