ex.1
As a human being, I like to think that our brains are smarter than our computers. And nowadays it’s true. Of course, computers are calculating, doing specific tasks faster than us, but nowadays we are pretty far from Artificial Intelligence, so computers can’t create what we can, they don’t have imagination and you need to teach them much longer than human to complete tasks that are easy for us.
As for facts, the brain of a human contains approximately one hundred billion neurons. Another one is a myth that humans only use 10 percent of our brain. We actually use all of it. And the last one, the brain can’t feel pain. It interprets pain signals sent to it, but it does not feel pain

Brain controls everything, that happens in our organism. Also, brain can analyze environment and react to it.
-
Brain reaches its full size at the age of 25.
-
Yes, new brain cells can be formed throughout our lives.
-
Brain is more active during the daytime.
-
No, the brain can’t feel pain.
-
It depends on the type of signal.

As for differences, computers are calculating and doing certain tasks much faster, but they mostly can’t adapt to different circumstances. So, people are more creative. Computers can’t invent something, can’t write a good book or a catchy song.

Artificial intelligence is the ability of machines to copy human intelligent behaviour.
-
Intelligent machine can learn from its own mistakes and make decisions based on what happened in the past.
-
Algorithm is a set of steps that the computer follows in order to solve a problem.

An educated guess is based on knowledge and experience and is, therefore, likely to be correct.

-
We don’t take smartphones for granted.
-
We implement everyday tasks without thinking

Was your answer an educated guess?

Computers follow an algorithm.

Surely, yes. I just need your e-mail.
-
Sorry, but you can’t. I need it to do my project.
-
Yes, here it is.
-
Try it once again ad we’ll see.
-
That’s a pity.

The purpose of the experiment was to show us, that robots can be taught as humans by giving them information without context. The experiment showed us that it could be possible. If I had that robot I’d teach him to do something useful for me - searching for mistakes, better translation. But I’m afraid of the future of face recognition systems which are using neural networks and therefore are very efficient. It can lead us to total control.
ex.17
In my opinion, the next wave wouldn’t be able to think like us. We are making progress, but adapting to one specific problem isn’t what we want from artificial intelligence. Now we can’t make computer think - it’s just blind attempts and the programme selects the best. It’s like evolution without mind and goal.
