Thesis for the Candidate Degree in Physics and Mathematics in speciality 01.02.04 – Mechanics of Deformable Solids. – Pidstryhach Institute for Applied Problems of Mechanics and Mathematics, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Lviv, 2007.The model of radiative thermomechanics for semitransparent solids with constructive cavities is developed. Various thermal and mechanical properties of a material in the cavity are considered. An irradiated solid is equipped with radiation reflectors, the latter being both cooling and non-cooling. Different approaches to determination radiative characteristics of irradiated solid, radiation source and reflector are used, namely, spectral and intergral characteristics are applied. Effect of radiation on thermal and mechanical processes in the solid is taken into account by heat sources due to radiation absorption as well as radiative heat energy redistribution in the interactive solid-reflectors system. Spectral characteristics of real radiation sources as well as irradiated solids are taken into account.
The problems of radiative thermomechanics for semitransparent solids of such canonic shapes as layer, hollow cylinder and hollow sphere subjected to spatially homogeneous thermal radiation are posed. The approach to solve these problems is developed, involving the grid method and the methods of numerical integrations.
On analysing the posed problems solutions, the new features of thermomechanical behaviour of semitransparent solids of canonic shapes are established, dependent on the set of various factors, namely on radiation source and reflectors radiative characteristices, thermal and mechanical properties of a material of the cavity as well as considering either spectral or integral radiative characteristics.
Theoretical foundations for development rational techniques for outgassing certain types of lamps by using industrial thermal radiation sources are presented.
