Кандидатская диссертация: Метадискурс как источник исторической динамики жанров англоязычной прессы

В статье выдвигается положение о том, что диахронная динамика жанров в современных англоязычных СМИ во многом определяется модификацией метадискурса нарратива, что связано с акцентированием в тексте эмотивной реакции участников медиасобытия, а также с выдвижением на первый план мнения и оценочного отношения автора текста, берущего на себя роль очевидца произошедшего не только в газетной/журнальной аналитике, но и во всех информационных материалах.

Metadiscourse as a Factor of the Diachronic Genre Variation in the British and American Press


The article sets out to show that diachronic changes in the genre system of the modern British and American press can to a great extent be accounted for by changes in the metadiscursive conceptual structures, which are active in text construal providing more effective and otherwise better ways of information transfer in the process of communication. Genre modifications in the English language mass media stem from a change in the attitude of the writer who assumes the role of an eyewitness and foregrounds personal opinion and evaluation not only in analytical material but also in presenting news.
