Only page sequencing is different, with page swapping between both channels inorder to allow a fast reception of data by a dual frequency receiver.
Nevertheless, the frame isdesigned to allow receivers to work also with a single frequency.9.3.1.1General Page LayoutTwo types of pages are defined: A nominal page having a duration of 2 seconds transmitted independently on each ofthe frequencies E5b and E1 An alert page having duration of 1 second transmitted on both frequencies. In nominal mode the page layout for the I/NAV channels is according to Table 36, where thepage contents are transmitted independently on each frequency (E5b and E1) within 2seconds.45H166424 8 6 120©, 2006, European Space Agency / Galileo Joint UndertakingDocument subject to terms of use and disclaimers p. 2-4.Total1ReservedTail1CRCj6 120Dataj(2/2)Reserved112Type1Even/odd=11TotalTypeData i (1/2)E1BTailEven/odd=0E5b-IData j+1 (1/2)11112Total57Tail24 8 6 120PageType64GAL OS SIS ICD/D.0Draft023/05/2006Even/odd=016Total1CRCjReservedTailType1ReservedEven/odd=1Datai(2/2)Reference:Issue:Revision:Date:6 120Table 37: I/NAV nominal page with bits allocationThe parameters for the nominal page have the following meaning and related values: Even/Odd field: to indicate the part of the page (0 = even / 1 = odd) that is broadcast Type (1 bit) equal to 0 to indicate the nominal page type Data (112 bits +16 bits = 128 bits): composed of a nominal word of 128 bitsIn alert mode the page layout for theI/NAV channels is according to Table 37, where the pagecontents are spread over the two channels.
The alarm page is divided in two parts (Data 1/2and Data 2/2), which are transmitted at the same epoch over the channels E5b and E1Brespectively.
