ABSTRACT
Nowadays thermal power plays the major role in the energy sector in the World and in the Russian Federation in particular. Heat supply in Russia is the most fuel demanding segment of the entire energy complex of the country. Nevertheless, the industry many issues daily.
In Novosibirsk region main problem in the heat supply industry are: poor state of heating systems, lack of reliability of the system's operation, large energy losses and negative impact on the environment. All of the above indicates about urgent need of innovative activities implementation, that will directly solve the existing issues.
The theme of this graduating research paper is "Evaluation of the investment project for the development of thermal energy power enterprises in the region".
The main focus of this investment plan is reconstruction of the heating network in order to reduce heat loss within the system (especially pipes). This problem is the major issue currently existing not only in the studied region, but in Russian Federation in general. This confirms the relevance of the chosen topic of this research paper. This theme is relevant for the study, not only in the study region, but also in other regions of the Russian Federation.
The main goal of the research paper is to evaluate the effectiveness of the materials and innovative technologies that are used for modernization of heat supply networks.
The objectives of this paper are defined as follows:
1. to study the functioning of thermal power complex in the region;
2. to research the theoretical foundations of investments;
3. to analyze the basic technical and economic indexes;
4. to analyze the enterprise's ability to perform investment activities;
5. to assess the economic efficiency of the investment project.
The object of this study is Open Joint Stock Company “Novosibirskgorteploenergo”, which is the main supplier of heat energy in the Novosibirsk region and Novosibirsk city.
The subject of this study is an investment project: “Modernization of the isolation of heat networks”, which analyzes the usage of the advanced materials for thermal insulation of pipelines, in order to reduce the heat losses during transportation.
After preforming analysis we concluded that the proposed investment project is very effective.
After our research was finished we concluded that OJC "NGTE" has all the resources needed to implement and complete this investment project according to the plan. Moreover this investment project reflect the current country and region situation, is up to date, and has high level of flexibility and relevant to social and economic situation.
Predicted investments for the project are 100 million rubles, that according to calculations should be payed off within 2.1 years. Discounted income for the period of 130 months should reach 205.9 million rubles.
